Charlotte Perriand was a French designer and architect known for modernist furniture and interiors, especially her work with Le Corbusier and Pierre Jeanneret. The Revolving Armchair was designed in 1928; Cassina, the Italian furniture company founded in 1927, later licensed and produced the design as part of its modernist collection.
