Papaloukas Spyros

Spyros Papaloukas (1892–1957) was a Greek modernist painter born in Desfina, near Delphi, who died in Athens. He primarily painted landscapes, combining Impressionism with Byzantine traditions. He served as a war artist, producing hundreds of paintings, nearly all destroyed during the 1922 burning of Smyrna.
